Reality Xp Crackl What is reality? Reality is a feeling that is experienced. It's a state of mind, a sensation that fills the air around you. What you feel when you're in reality can differ from person to person. For some it might be emptiness, for others it could be security and warmth, and for still others bliss may be confusing fascination or everything they ever wanted. Reality is an experience with no boundaries or contradictions as long as those who experience it exist. There are many realities, each of which is unique. You can visit one reality at a time or visit them all. A particular reality may be altered by factions that do not agree with it's rules and ideals. What faction decides to change is up to you, the player. A faction may be created based on things like technology, behavior, or sights; it can be altered by outside forces; or they can randomly change based on the events of the game (more later). Factions are helpful because it's like having friends waiting for you in any given reality you visit whether you know them or not. Unlike friends, however, a faction can be anything from a closed-minded group of people to a closed-minded group of trolls constantly trying to make you angry. Ceteris paribus, Reality is what you make it. The rules that govern Reality are as follows: In the Deserted World, the characters travel through this place constantly as they move from reality to reality. In other words, as they travel from reality to reality the characters constantly change their appearance as well as their abilities and skills. The players begin each game session by creating a character and rolling randomly for skills and abilities based on their Perception and Luck scores (more on both later). The characters then immediately begin to experience reality and while doing so receive an "imprint" which is a benefit or a hindrance based on what they do in that reality. When it's time to move from one world to the next, the players choose their next world and roll again (in this case for skills, abilities, and Imprints). This process continues until the characters adventure in enough worlds to discard their imprints. This means they've experienced enough of reality that they can safely set foot into other realities or at least leave their imprints behind and move forward (more later). Whenever the players visit another reality they enter into that reality with whatever skills and abilities they've acquired during the game session. The characters need these skills for whatever adventure they find themselves in. For example, if the players are visiting a fantasy world where sword fighting is a major skill, then when they arrive they'll be sitting at an inn with sword fighting as one of their skills. Each time the player visits a different reality or leaves their imprints behind, the character grows stronger based on what Imprint is added to their sheet (more on Imprints later).
